Wildlife: A long absence
23rd February 2015 - 0 comments

After a long break in the UK, I am very happy to be back in the bush with my family. The frequent rains and humidity are making trips into the National Park and early-morning-only event, but I managed to get out yesterday morning and found a paradise of fresh green growth and fat, healthy mammals! There are also a lot of insects around which is great for the birds and small mammals, but not so good for humans driving without windscreens!

Wildlife: Aggressively green....
12th January 2015 - 0 comments

Equipment Info: Keeping busy in the rains....

Photo Safari: My Year in 2014
31st December 2014 - 0 comments

When living in the bush, it's hard to compare years, as there is always something outstanding and memorable from each safari season. In 2013, it was surely the weekend I spent at Lion Camp with Kirstie (in the days before little Sukey came along!) where we were bombarded with sightings from all sides. You can see a write up of that here

Wildlife: Mango Season
18th November 2014 - 0 comments

Nature throws lifelines to animals throughout the year. And without these lifelines, many animals wouldn't make it through the dry season, and the carrying capacity of wilderness areas would be much reduced.
