 About Me I live and work in the Luangwa Valley, a vast wildlife reserve in Eastern Zambia. I work part time as a Safari Guide, and spend all my spare time out in the bush. For a photographer, it is paradise. During the rainy season, the clear air gives photos rich in colour and detail; later in the year, the dusty dry season creates dramatic effects, particularly in the morning light and at dusk. My galleries contain a selection of images from the last 3 years, and more will be added from time to time. I am lucky that every day I have seen and experienced extraodinary things; in fact, as I began writing this, I was distracted by a baboon giving birth outside my window. Special as this sighting is, it should come as no surprise; the South Luangwa National Park is well known as one of the best wildlife reserves anywhere on the Planet. The following organisations work to preserve this pristine ecosystem and help to maintain it for the future: South Luangwa Conservation Society North Luangwa Conservation Society Chipembele Wildlife Education Centre If you wish to visit, I suggest Flatdogs Camp, a friendly, affordable Safari Lodge on the banks of the Luangwa River. With a low-impact approach to camp building, and no fences, wildlife is free to move through and feed at will. You will find hippos wandering past your tent in the evenings, monkeys and baboons foraging by day and elephants coming to your chalet window as you brush your teeth in the morning. Added to which, the camp is just one kilometre from the park gate, so you are just 5 minutes' drive from exceptional driving and walking safaris.
